What have we been up to?
March 2023 - Collaboration with Northern Monk Brewery
To mark International Women’s Day on 8th March, we’ve collaborated with Northern Monk Brewery. They’ve been proud sponsors of the Roses since our foundation in 2020, and after having their logo on our jerseys, they invited us to have our badge on a can.
This pucker 5.0% hazy pale ale was planned and executed by Cat, one of the shift lead brewers. The international hops facing off here are Amarillo, Bru-1, Motueka, and Mystic, giving this haze-for-days beer tropical, grassy and citrusy flavours.
Wherever you are, there will be a women’s team, whether it’s football, rugby, ice hockey, cricket or pretty much everything else. So, not just because of today, find your local teams and maybe try and take a game or two some time soon.
On Saturday 11 March, join Northern Monk for a talk on the history of women in brewing followed by Leeds Roses v @sheffieldshadowswihc.
The talk will be at 4.30 at the Northern Monk Leeds Refectory. Tickets are available on their website, and are free. Entry for the Roses match, with face-off at 7.20pm, are also free (no ticket required), and anyone attending will get a free can of the beer!
Proceeds from this beer will go to the Leeds Roses and we are so incredibly grateful for this donation from Northern Monk.

Sept '22 - WNIHL Announces New Division Names
The Women's National Ice Hockey League (WNIHL) have updated their division names ahead of the 2022/23 season.
There are three main tiers: Elite remains the same, with 'Premier' changing to 'WNIHL 1', and 'Division 1' changing to 'WNIHL 2'. Under 16s are 'U16'.

Leeds Roses are now in WNIHL 2 and are ready to take on the challenge!
8/8/22 - Roses March On With Pride!
Members of Leeds Roses were honoured to walk in the Leeds Pride 2022 parade today, alongside one of our main sponsors, Northern Monk!
The Roses are proud allies of the LGBTQ+ community and are so pleased to be a safe space for all.

July 2022 - Leeds Roses join the Women's National Ice Hockey League!
The day that the Leeds Roses have been waiting for since day 1 has finally come!
Leeds Roses have officially been accepted into the Women's National Ice Hockey League, joining Division One in the 2022/23 season.
A massive thank you to our supporters, sponsors, coaches and team who have helped to get the club to this point - we really could not have done it without you!

Leeds women’s aid are a vital charity to support, especially over the past year. We are excited to be able to give back to such an incredible cause, look out for their logo on our new Jersey’s!
